Description
Artem Georgini , the real name Kvrivishvili (1888 - 1967?) - Georgian illusionist, mnemotekhnik and hypnotist, who spoke in the first post-revolutionary years. He worked with his wife-assistant Clara (real name Ekaterina Sulaberidze ). According to the memoirs of the artist's granddaughter, the grandfather told that he learned the manipulation in Hamburg from Robert Lenz , and the fakir craft and hypnosis - in Calcutta (India). Georgini's pseudonym was received in Germany, as a derivative of the nationality (in German Georgians - Georgier). He had a house in Berdyansk that was expropriated. He was fond of studying foreign languages. He was a political prisoner. Materials about Georgini were in the Museum of the Revolution in Tbilisi. In particular, there hung a portrait on which he was shackled.
